The International Food Bloggers Conference 2010 is over, except for the Artisan Beef Tasting tonight at Cichetti (sorry SOLD OUT!), but the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle is still humming with all the great FOOD BLOGGER LUUV!

About This Blog...

Dear Friends of HypFoods,

I've spent considerable time and attention units dreaming about what I want to bring to the world of food-challenged living. I've thought about what is missing in the blogosphere and what stories I like to cover. I've thought about what kind of help I would be looking for if I were just starting out along this new path and what sorts of resources are readily available.

You don't really need another recipe blog. The Internet is richly populated with talented sources for such information. And I'm glad, because it turns out, I'm not highly motivated to write about recipes.

The kinds of questions I encounter most frequently are questions about what to DO and how to COPE with the challenges of allergies and chronic illness conditions.

The blog is being repurposed to cover a wider range of topics, including product reviews, non-food tips, accommodations and special techniques, restaurant menus and meal service, as well as the occasional recipe revision. Think of it as a journal perspective on managing one woman's hypoallergenic life, one story at a time.
